The fine print, in plain English.

1. Agreement

By creating a Nudge account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are using Nudge on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have the authority to bind that organisation.

2. What Nudge is — and isn’t

Nudge is an AI-powered coaching app that helps you build small habits and reflect on your behaviour. It is not a medical device, therapy, or diagnostic service. The coach is a language model with thoughtful guardrails — not a licensed clinician. If you are in distress or facing a medical situation, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to use Nudge.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe.
• One account per person. Don’t share, resell, or transfer it.
• Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Nudge to harm yourself or others, or to plan illegal activity.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract model weights or prompts.
• Send malware, run automated abuse, or interfere with the service.
• Impersonate someone else, or pretend the coach is a real clinician.
• Use Nudge to build a competing product.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Where possible, we will warn you first.

5. Subscriptions & billing

Nudge offers a free tier and paid subscriptions. Paid plans auto-renew until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Prices are shown inclusive of applicable taxes where required.

Refunds are handled case by case — write to hi@nudgeai.life within 14 days of a charge and we will sort it out fairly. App Store / Play Store purchases are governed by their respective refund policies.

6. Your content

Everything you write into Nudge — habits, reflections, messages — belongs to you. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the service for you. We do not use your content to train third-party models or for advertising.

7. Our content & IP

The Nudge app, brand, coach personality, and underlying software are our intellectual property. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. Don’t copy or redistribute it.

8. AI output disclaimer

The coach generates language using AI models. Output can be wrong, incomplete, or occasionally weird. Treat it as suggestions, not instructions. Don’t rely on it for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

9. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may run maintenance, change features, or retire features with reasonable notice. If we shut Nudge down entirely, we will give you 60 days’ notice and a way to export your data.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nudge is provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or €50 — whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

11. Termination

You can stop using Nudge any time by deleting your account. We can terminate or suspend access if you breach these terms or if we are legally required to. On termination, you may export your data within 30 days, after which it is deleted per the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app and by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don’t agree with the new terms, cancel your account before they take effect.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Dublin, unless mandatory consumer law in your country says otherwise.
